NDIS Support Worker Jobs in Perth

Steady hours, regular participants, a duty phone that is answered, and managers who have done the job themselves. Join a Perth team that says yes to the people other providers turn away.

What the job is

Prevail Care is a registered NDIS provider based in the Perth CBD. Our support workers help children, young people and adults with disability in their own homes, in shared Supported Independent Living houses and out in the community: personal care, daily living skills, getting to appointments, work and sport, household tasks, and overnight support in SIL.

A large part of our work is with people with complex needs, including participants with a forensic history. It is real work with real responsibility, and it is where good support workers make the biggest difference.

What we look for

  • Experience supporting people with disability, mental illness, or in youth or community work. Lived experience counts.
  • Calm under pressure, and honest when something goes wrong
  • Reliable: you turn up, on time, every time, and you write your notes
  • A driver’s licence and your own car with comprehensive insurance for most roles
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid and CPR, and the NDIS Worker Orientation Module, or willingness to get them before you start
  • A Working with Children Check if you will support children
  • A second language is a plus: our participants speak Arabic, Mandarin, Somali, Swahili, Tagalog, Thai, French and Spanish

What you get from us

  • Regular participants and a consistent roster, not a different stranger every shift
  • A duty phone answered by a manager, day and night
  • Training in each participant’s plan before your first shift with them, plus behaviour support and manual handling training where needed
  • Permanent part-time contracts with guaranteed hours for workers who want stability
  • Managers who came up through support work, youth justice and immigration services and know what the job asks of you
  • Work close to home, across the northern, southern, eastern and western suburbs

Questions from applicants

No. We value experience and the right attitude over paper. A Certificate III in Individual Support is an advantage, and we support workers to complete one.

An NDIS Worker Screening Check, a Working with Children Check where you will support children, a current First Aid and CPR certificate, the NDIS Worker Orientation Module, a driver’s licence, and comprehensive insurance if you will drive participants in your own car. We tell you exactly what to get and in what order.

Both. We offer permanent part-time positions with guaranteed minimum hours, and casual roles for people who want flexibility. We prefer to move good casual workers to permanent part-time.

Across the Perth metro area. We roster workers in the region they live in, so your shifts are close to home.

An online induction you complete before your first shift, covering the NDIS Code of Conduct, our policies, incident reporting, medication and hand hygiene, followed by a shadow shift with an experienced worker where the support is hands-on.
