In-home support that fits your routine

Assistance with daily life is the support most NDIS participants use most often. Prevail Care delivers it across Perth under two registration groups: Assistance with Daily Personal Activities and Development of Daily Living and Life Skills.

Workers follow your care plan, not a generic checklist. Where a hospital, GP or allied health professional has written instructions, they are built into the plan and every worker reads them before the first shift. The same faces each week, rostered around when you actually need help, not around our convenience.

What personal care support includes

  • Showering, bathing, toileting, continence care and skin care
  • Dressing, grooming and oral care
  • Getting in and out of bed, transfers and moving safely around the home
  • Meal preparation and support to eat and drink, including texture-modified diets set by a speech pathologist
  • Medication prompting, and medication assistance under a signed medication plan
  • Overnight support, sleepover or active night, where your plan funds it
  • Support for children and young people, with workers matched for the age group

Daily living skills: learning to do more yourself

This is the Capacity Building side: support to learn or relearn the skills of running your life. Cooking a week of meals, using the bus and train, budgeting and paying bills, keeping appointments, managing medication, using a phone and the internet safely, getting on with housemates and neighbours.

Goals come from your plan. We break each one into steps, work on them with you in the real places you live, and record progress so your support coordinator can show the NDIA what the funding achieved.

★★★★★

“They are respectful, professional and overall my top pick for NDIS services for support workers. โ€ฆ They work hard to find the right fit for my needs as a person living with multiple disabilities. โ€ฆ The efforts I have seen have made it a really clear decision to stick with them as a service.

“Nothing is too hard for the staff at Prevail Care. They are passionate about providing top quality service and care. My Dad used Prevail Care for daily supports and he was reluctant at first โ€ฆ he was so appreciative of the staff and the level of professionalism and genuine care was next level. โ€ฆ You wonโ€™t find a better company out there who not only put us first but also look after their staff.

How we match workers to you

Tell us what matters

Gender preference, language, personality, experience with your disability, non-smoker, good with dogs. Say it and we match on it.

Meet before the first shift

You meet the proposed worker, or the small team for larger rosters, and you can say no.

Shadow shift

Where support is hands-on, new workers do their first shift alongside one who already knows you.

Change if it is not working

One call to the duty phone and we re-roster. No awkward conversations required.

Where we deliver this

Workers are rostered from the region they live in, so a 7am shower shift in Baldivis or a 9pm medication prompt in Joondalup is covered by someone nearby.

North: Joondalup, Wanneroo, Clarkson, Butler, Alkimos, Yanchep, Ellenbrook, Stirling, Morley. Central and west: Perth, Subiaco, Leederville, Nedlands, Fremantle, Cockburn, Melville, Victoria Park. East: Midland, Belmont, Cannington, Gosnells, Canning Vale, Kelmscott, Armadale. South: Kwinana, Rockingham, Baldivis, Mandurah.

Personal care questions

Yes, that is how we roster. You will also have a small backup team for leave and sickness, and you will have met them before they turn up.

Workers can prompt and assist with medication from a Webster or blister pack under a signed medication plan. They do not make clinical decisions; your GP or nurse does.

Two hours for in-home supports. Shorter visits can sometimes be grouped with other supports on the same day; ask us.

We call you before the shift and offer someone from your backup team. If you would rather skip the shift, there is no charge.

Seven days. We waive it in extenuating circumstances, such as a hospital admission, and we say so in the service agreement.

The NDIS generally does not fund family members as paid workers. We can talk through the exceptions and the alternatives.

Yes. We support children, young people and adults, with workers screened and matched for the age group.

Personal care comes from Core Supports under Assistance with Daily Life. Skills training comes from Capacity Building under Improved Daily Living. We tell you which items we claim before you sign.
